From August 8–19, 2022, the European Children's City of Magdeburg will take place. From Mondays to Fridays, children between the ages of 8 and 14 can playfully learn about city life here and have to deal with democratic voting processes and topics such as social coexistence, work and wages, self-determination and co-determination. On the grounds of the Amtsgarten (A public park), the rule is: only children are in charge here! The only allowed adults are supervisors (you?) who support the children in their play and help them implement their ideas.

And that's exactly why we need you

Just like the Children's City Citizens, you have the opportunity to become part of this special participation project and help the kids in over 40 jobs, experiencing what happens to a city ruled exclusively by children.

What we want from you

• You speak english at least on a conversational level
• You are at least 18 years old
• Interest in working with children
• share your European values with the children and help them to learn more about your country
• Creativity, joie de vivre, maybe even some manual skills
• You can work under your own responsibility
• Be willing to work 5 days/week, sometimes even on the weekends
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• A current, clean criminal record

You only have to take part in the set-up or dismantling. During the other period you are free.
